Author Lesley Cookman published her 10th Libby Sarjeant Murder Mystery Murder By Magic on June 7 2012.
For many years Lesley has been charming readers with the series featuring Libby, a middle-aged artist and former actress, and her best friend and psychic Fran as they reluctantly solve crimes in the fictitious village of Steeple Martin.
In her new adventure Murder by Magic, Libby and Fran are asked to look into the sudden and unexplained death of a devoted churchgoer. The police appear to have lost interest, but the villagers are certain that their new lady vicar has something to do with it! But if it was murder, how was it done? And Libby and Fran ask could it be magic?
To coincide with the publication of Murder by Magic, independent publisher Accent Press Ltd is reissuing the other nine popular titles in the series in B format paperback. Starting with the first Murder in Steeple Martin, other titles include Murder at the Laurels, Murder in Midwinter, Murder by the Sea, Murder in Bloom, Murder in the Green, Murder to Music, Murder Imperfect and Murder at the Manor. Perfect for fans of Caroline Graham and Midsomer Murders, the Libby Sarjeant series has been critically acclaimed by readers and writers alike. Paul Magrs, author of the Brenda and Effie series from Headline has hailed Lesley as ‘the Queen of Cosy Crime’ while best-selling author Katie Fforde calls them ‘real page-turners’. While other readers have described them as ‘like meeting up with old friends’.
